Activities and Opportunities for Youth

The annual Energy and Environment calendar is now entering its 14th season! It is produced by Natural Resources Canada's Office of Energy Efficiency's (OEE) and is targeted at elementary school-age kids and their teachers. The calendar's art work is collected through a nation-wide art contest and one winner is selected from each province and territory in Canada.

Each year, the Royal Saskatchewan Museum organizes a Youth Forum on Sustainability, in partnership with various organizations. For details, click here.

STUDENTS ON ICE is an organization offering unique learning expeditions to the Antarctic and the Arctic. Currently, ten "Students on Ice" have the opportunity to consider the links between climate change, the arctic environment, and the need to reduce GHG emissions. Hop on the "Floe Edge" yourself by reading accounts of students adventures, learnings, thoughts and impressions!
